Hello, I’m Toph
My favorite thing to do is play! I am a bold adventurer. I like to explore my surroundings, snuggle with the nice people I find, and play, play, play!
What makes me special is I was born blind. My eyes are underdeveloped so I can’t see at all, but sometimes I’ll make you think I can! Using my spidey sences I’m really good at finding my litterbox (I’m a clean girl and absolutely will use my box), my food, and favorite toys. I pat my feet around in front of me and use my nose and whiskers when I’m looking for things. I’m really smart, and I really don’t act like I’m a disabled kitty, but you’ll wan to help me out by keeping my food and litter in the same spot and helping me learn where everything is. My foster started me in a small area and is gradually expanding my space soI can confidently find what I need without being too confined because I hate being away from people I like.
I want my new owner to know that I’m a sweet fluffball. I don’t just meow. I make a variety of cute trilling noises. Sometimes when a new person or animal approaches I will hiss just to say, “Hey! I’m here! Don’t step on me!” Once I know the new person or pet is safe to approach I get along with everybody pretty quickly. In my foster home I’m making friends with cats, dogs, and older children. Toddlers or other very young children aren’t recommended for me since I need people who are aware of my lack of sight and can accommodate me.
When I am feeling playful I like to…pounce, wrestle, leap! I love toys with texture or ones that make noise. What they look like doesn’t matter much to me, obviously. But if they jingle, crinkle, pop or smell like catnip, I love them. When it is time to rest I sleep Curled up in comfy, warm places.
I am good with Cats, Dogs, Kids
By nature I am… Energetic, Cuddly, Social, Affectionate, I like to be held.
