My favorite thing to do is Chill. I’m a pretty mellow boy. I like high perches where I can lie down and watch everyone. I like hammock style beds. I like laps, too. Anywhere cozy and open.
What makes me special is I need an emotional support human. I know, I know… people like to look for emotional support animals, right? I’m turning the tables. You don’t need me as much as I need someone. I came into rescue very scared. I’d been living a feral life, and often kitties like me are fixed, have their an ear tipped, and arereleased again, but my foster family took a chance on me. I still got my ear tipped, but they chose to work with me rather than return me to feral life. They recognized that I was scared, but very sweet. It’s taken me a some time to adjust to being indoors but I’m learning to enjoy regular meals, chin scratches, and purring in a people lap. I have particularly quiet purr. You’ll feel the vibrations more than you’ll hear it! I’m sweet and quiet.
I want my new owner to know I’m likely to be very shy at first, and when I get really scared I hiss. I’ll need time to learn to trust my new environment, new people, and new fur friends. I’ve never swatted or hurt anyone, the hissing is just for show. Given time I can learn to share my sweetness with you. Here in my foster home I’ve come to like the adults, the older kids (the young ones move fast and loud which is frightening to me, so kids over 10 yrs old reccomended), the mellow little dog (big, busy, active ones scary) and other friendly cats. I do require slow introductions so I don’t just hide. My favorite person in my foster home is 12. She spends a lot of time with me and is very patient. I like to cuddle in her lap. I’d love to find a forever home with someone quiet, patient, and sweet. I am quiet and sweet.
When I am feeling playful I like to…
bat around jingle balls or climb a cat tree. When it is time to rest I sleep I like to sleep in laps or hammock style beds.
