In this series you will learn who is on the AZ CARE rescue team, where to access your foster resources, and what processes are required to give your foster babies the care needed to find their forever families. Start your foster journey with the videos below.
New Foster Training: Section 2 – Meet the Team
We are so excited to have you join our rescue family! To kick things off we want to make sure you know who is on the board of directors and how each of them can best help you.
New Foster Training: Section 3 – Getting Your First Foster
Now that you are officially an AZ CARE foster, let’s talk about the process of getting your first foster kitty. Super important! Fill out a foster intake assessment for every new foster you take.
New Foster Training: Section 4 – Supplies and Set Up
Getting you set up for your new foster baby is a team effort. You will work with our board members to get the supplies you need for your new fosters. If you aren’t sure what you need, not to worry! We will help determine what you need. Future supply requests will go through our Supply Request Form and Alison will manage those requests.
New Foster Training: Section 5 – The Foster Hub
This is going to be your go-to location to all things related to fostering. The foster hub was especially designed for the AZ CARE Fosters and will place AZ CARE processes and resources at your fingertips.

This schedule breaks down by age what you will need to schedule or work on for your kittens.
New Foster Training: Section 7 – Meet and Greet Process
Once your foster is available for adoption meet and greet requests will be sent to you by a member of the board of directors. Once it has been sent, you will reach out to the adopter to coordinate the meet and greet. Please follow the steps outlines on our remote adoption process page for additional instructions. New Foster Training: Section 8 – The PetSmart Habitat Process
This video will walk you through the steps of having your foster be included in the PetSmart Habitat rotation. If your foster receives a meet and greet during their time in the habitat you will have a change to do the adoption yourself so you can wish them well.
