Meet Xerxes!

My favorite thing to do is… be with people. I am a gentle, social dog.

What makes me special is… I am quite the gentleman! I am sweet with every person and creature I meet. I have a mellow disposition. I love to go on walks, I like to wade in the pool, and I really like chew sticks. I like to have other animals around, and I’m equally good with other dogs and with cats. I bark when someone is at the door, but stop as soon as the door is opened. I will politely greet anyone who comes to visit.

I want my new owner to know… I was returned to the rescue when a child in my home developed allergies. I really want to be part of a family again.

When I am feeling playful I like to.. (favorite toys): Explore. I will play some, but mostly I am very relaxed and am content to stay near people who will pet me and tell me what a good boy I am.

Where do I sleep? I love a good dog bed, and I am crate trained.
