Good day friends! I’m Niko

My favorite thing to do is be around my people. Mom doesn’t “allow” me on the couch, but sometimes I like to try anyway. I do love it when Mom or Dad get on the floor with me to give me loves or play. Sometimes I try to be a lap dog, but Mommy says I’m too big for that. I also love the attention of the kids that help foster me.

What makes me special is I may be 5 years old, but I’m still full of pep! I love to play fetch with my toys, get “good boy” treats, and go for walks. You should see me “dance” when I get excited!! I have the cutest wiggle butt.

I want my new owner to know I behave well on leash. I know how to sit, lay, and stay. I love attention from my people! My favorite is neck and butt skritches. Sometimes I prefer belly rubs. When I want love, I’ll put my head between your legs to let you know. I’m a great travel buddy. I recently did a trip of 8 hours away, stayed a while, and 8 hours back. I went potty at stops when I needed to go and didn’t get car sick. I just slept on my bed between stops.

When I am feeling playful I like to…Play fetch! Even though I LOVE to play, I’m done with it after about 10 minutes, then I’m ready to chill. My favorite toy looks like a s’more, but I also love my ball and other toys. I don’t typically like to chew my toys apart. Just throw it and I’ll bring back, again and again until I’m done. When it is time to rest I sleep I sleep on a dog bed, and at night or when my family is away for a time, I sleep in my crate. Sometimes I’ll put myself to bed, just because I like it in my crate.
