Jade was an owner surrender to Pinal County Animal Care and Control because she was too strong for her owner to handle. Because of this, she has not been well socialized when it comes to being outside the home. She is extremely shy at first, but once she has a little bit of time around you, she loves to hang out and be with you. Jade loves stuffed toys and you can always find her with at least one in her mouth! Jade needs more work on her leash manners, as she is very strong and tends to pull. Her foster is working on this, but it is a work in progress. Jade is treat/food motivated and loves to go out on the leash. She could eventually make a great running partner for someone as she’s very high energy. She gets nervous around small children when they are yelling and jumping around, so should not be in a home with small children right now, just because it makes her nervous and run and hide. Jade is still under a year old, so there is time for her to slowly be introduced to new people, places, and things, which can help her gain confidence and let her true self shine. Jade is looking for a patient and kind family who can help her become her best self.
