Brownie is a special case for us here at AZ CARE. She was pulled from PCACC at just under a year old, pregnant, and essentially feral. We pulled her, she had her puppies, the foster worked with her to try to get her over her fear of humans, but she was only able to get so far with her. Brownie is not aggressive, she’s just terrified of humans. She’s never bitten or shown any desire to bite.

She is a great dog for someone who has the time to sit and work with her on getting over that fear, or someone who just needs a companion animal for another dog. She does allow you to “force love” on her, but you can tell she’s not totally comfortable with it. She is kennel trained, house trained, and is great with dogs of all sizes. She lets you know when she needs to go outside, and will go out and back in.

She has a funny quirk where when she’s outside, she wants a board or piece of wood to carry around. It’s very strange, but she’s done it from the moment she was brought into the rescue. Her foster isn’t even sure where the board came from that she carries around her back yard.
